TERMS
These terms cover the ASTERIA plugin and standalone app, the COSMOS ◆ sound pack, the browser demo, and this website. ASTERIA is made and sold by Makito Nakano, Ibaraki, Japan ("I", "me"). By installing ASTERIA or buying COSMOS you agree to them.
1. The free instrument
ASTERIA and its two free sounds — AURORA and NEBULA — are free for anyone, for any purpose, with no account. The COSMOS sounds can be auditioned in the free version for 45 seconds at a time.
2. The COSMOS license
Buying COSMOS gives you a personal, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the COSMOS sounds in ASTERIA on every computer you personally use. You receive a license key by email. Keep it to yourself: sharing a key, posting it, or reselling it ends the license, and I may revoke keys that are being shared.
Sounds added to COSMOS after your purchase are included. Versions of ASTERIA for other platforms honour the same key.
3. What you can do with the sound
Anything you record with ASTERIA is yours — songs, film scores, game audio, streams, commercial or not. No credit is required. The one thing you may not do is redistribute the raw sounds, presets or samples themselves as a sound library, sample pack or competing instrument.
4. Refunds
If you change your mind within 14 days of purchase and your key has not been activated, write to and I will refund you in full. Once a key has been activated the purchase is final, but if something is genuinely broken I will always try to make it right.
5. Software
ASTERIA is provided as is. I test it carefully, but I cannot promise it will suit every purpose or run in every host. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for losses arising from its use, and in any case my liability is limited to what you paid. Please do not decompile, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the license mechanism.
6. Changes
I may update these terms; the date above changes when I do. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
